Alcazar is a castle-palace located in Segovia, Spain which was built in 1122. The Spanish castle was built as a Hispano-Arabic fortress. Situated on the top of a hill and connected to Segovia’s fortified Roman walls, Alcazar was an impenetrable fort. This castle was also Walt Disney’s inspiration for the castle from Cinderella. The architecture is fantastic and you can really tell that Disney incorporated many features of this castle for the “Disney Castle”. From the base of the castle you can see for miles around the city. This was definitely one of the greatest views in all of Segovia!
